Ok, so I never got all my holiday photos sorted out. If I have any really great ones, I'll post them. Fuggeddaboutit, let's move on.

Val and I went to Charleston, SC for her spring break, and now I have pictures to prove it.

All apologies for the requirement that you sign up with ImageStation, but they allow unlimited storage space for images, PLUS you can always click and view the ORIGINAL image (not recommended for slower connections) and check out details and such. It's just easier this way. For me.

CRAP! The webmonkey is being put down! Where will I go for smart & smarmy webeducation? Any suggestions?

Here we are again, the end of another vacation. Not really, though, vacation actually ended for me last Thursday, but anyway, tonight is the end of Val's official spring break week, so it feels like the party's over. Back to the grindstone routine tomorrow.

We did have a fine time in Charleston, SC, and I have a hundred and a half pictures to sort through and organize and get uploaded. Don't worry, not all of them will make the cut, just a select few highlights.

We've changed foster cats again. Ebony was adopted and we received a young female cat from a feral colony. Her name is Lilly and she's friendly but shy, and we're trying to spend a fair amount of time with her to get her socialized. She probably wouldn't do too well if she went back out with the feral colony, so hopefully someone will take an interest in her once we get her on her feet.

I picked up a few new books on our trip, The Blank Slate, The Modern Denial of Human Nature by Steven Pinker, and Lullaby by Chuck Palahniuk. I've read other books by both authors before, and so far I haven't been disappointed. My "notes" will be in the words section of the site eventually.

The motorcycle is still sitting in the basement. I have it all put back together, but I don't own a helmet, and I haven't had the time and money to deal with the paperwork of transferring ownership. Nothing to report. I MIGHT rewire the handlebars, as long as it's not going anywhere anytime soon. We'll see...

For spring break, and to celebrate Val's successful completion of her oral exam (hooray!), we are taking a road trip to Charleston, SC and Savannah, GA (hooray!) next week. We have a room booked at a B&B (The Pink Dolphin) in a small town just outside Charleston. We'll check in there and then be up and down the coast for the rest of the time, returning to the inn for sleep and breakfast. I anticipate many photo opportunities with historical buildings and the like.

The weather here certainly seems to be turned toward spring, and I hope it stays that way. I haven't had any motorcycle money as I have been saving up for our little trip next week, so I hope to return and get back to that project now that the weather is cooperating.

For now, I am off to work. Sigh.
